NEW YORK, Doe, 20. Mr Willard Thorp, chairman of the N.R.A. Advisory Council, places Canada, Japan and Sweden as leading the nations in achieving recovery, with the United States fourth, Britain fifth, and Australia sixth. All have gained, he says, in industrial production, employment, wholesale prices, and foreign trade, whereas in. gold bloc countries progress is lacking. Recognition of Australia’s improved position is shown by heavy bond purchases, two Common wealth issues closing at £looj}.
