“If we could only remember to treat [plants the same as human being® we would get much better results in our gardens and our glasshouses,” said Mr. M. J. Barnett, superintendent of parks and reserves, speaking at the meeting of the Christchurch Tomato and Stone Fruit Growers’ Association. He was referring at the time to draughts in greenhouses, and said that just as human beings did not like draughts neither did plants.
