REPORT DISCREDITED
ANTARCTIC FLIGHT
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day
A report that Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and Mr. Bernt Balehen have made a trims-Antaietie flight is generally discredited.
Inquiries made from reliable sources produce not the slightest substantiation. Mr. Ellsworth dislikes publicity, luit in the proudest moment of his adventurous life, not even this reserved American could have maintained silence, while if lie had landed at Admiral Byrd s base, ids arrival could not have been kept quiet. Such is the view expressed hero.
