RUSH INTO HOUSE
A five-roomed farmhoua , owned r- * occupied by Mr A. J. Andrew : and situated on the Awiti road, N - ' ton, Thames Valley, was destroyed by fire last Friday. Mr Andrews and'..is. son were in Paeroa and Mrs 1 Andrews, was at home with her babv.
Mrs Andrews was working in the garden when she noticed smoke issuing from the back of the house. A my.gV bor, Mr T. Johnson, thinking that tJigbaby was in the house, rushed into the burning building and was severely burned about the arms and face. Fortunately, Mrs Andrews had taken the ‘hild out of the house shortly before *ho fire started. The flames spread nnidly and nothing was saved.
