A wedding of interest was celebrated quietly on Wednesday .at Holy Trinity Church by Canon A. F. Hall, the contracting parlies being Elsie (Kyra), second daughter of Mr .and Mrs W. Honshaw, Kaiti, Gisborne, and Richard, eldest son of the l,ate MV and Mrs G. Herivel, Gisborne.

The; bride, owing to the illness of hoi; father, was escorted by her .mother, who was wearing a navy ,fr.ock with touches of gold. The bride wore a dainty , model froclc of daffodil flat crepe and a. large picture hat of tbe same shade.

The bridesmaid, Miss Mona Henshaw, sister of the bride, wore flame crepe-de-ehine and hat to tone. The duties of 'best man were ably carried out by Mr T, Herivel, brother of the bridegroom.

A reception was held afterwards at the home of the bride’s parents, only near relatives .being present. The happy couple left later for the north, the bride travelling in a swagger suit of dull pink .jersey tweed, smartly trimmed with black and white tonings and hat of the same shade.

A very quiet and pretty wedding was solemnised at All .Saints Anglican Church, Tokomaru Bay, last Saturday by the Rev. J. J. Anderson, when Beulah Audrey, third daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Burdett., Tokomaru Bay, was united in the holy bonds ,of matrimony to James Steele Shcrriff, of Takapuna, Auckland. The Church had been charmingly decorated by friends of the bride with artistic bowls of gladioli, which formed a picturesque setting for the bridal party. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was very smartly .attired in a tailored costume of beige linen tweed, with a hat and skin shoes to tone, and she carried an exquisite sheaf of flame gladioli. The bride’s attention!., Miss Amy Burdett, was similarly attired in a biscuit-colored tweed linen costume, and a smart brown hat, while Jicr ensemble was compcltcd with a sheaf of salmon gladioli. Mr T. Hickey, of Puketoro, carried out the duties of best man. The wedding music was played by Airs J. «T. Anderson. A small reception was held after the ceremony at. the home ot the bride \s parents, and only relations and school friends of the bridal couple attended. The guests were received by Mrs Burdett, who was wearing a squirt suit of marine blue linen and a light straw hat trimmed with blue velvet ribbon. 'She carried a sheaf of lemon gladioli. Miss F. Burdett, Palmerston North, a sister of the bride, chose an attractive frock of floral crepe moire in shades of henna and brown, with a smart brown hat. Miss E. Burdett, Palmerston North, a sister ol the bride, wore a blue tweed costume auu a wide panama hat. Mr S. Burdett, Gisborne, a brother of the bride, acted as M.C., and latei in the day drove the happy couple through to Gisborne. Their future home will be at O'whena, Tokomaru Bay. ________
