Dunedin. —Dec. 22: Arrived, Wai pawn, 7.15 n.m., from. Lyttelton.

An unfortunate accident, occurred last, night to the launch owned by Mr. Neville, of Portland Island, who is at present visiting Gisborne to have a new engine installed in the craft. The boat had been left moored near the entrance 1o the slipway ready to be taken on to the slip this morning. She was found this morning immersed in a good depth of water, with only the lop of the mast, showing above the water. It is thought that the gunwale of the launch caught, on the breastwork and as the tide rose the. boat filled.
