The Japanese crews which will take the former Union Company’s cargo steamers Komata and Kaimanawa to Japan arrived at Auckland by the Marama from Sydney. The captains, officers and. seamen total 36. Both vessels have been sold to be dismantled for scrap metal, and the Komata will tow ithe Kaimanawa to Japan.
