TWO CAUGHT IN AUCKLAND

Shoplifters have been exceptionally active this week during the Christmas rush. Two who were caught yesterday were handed over to the police, and with a third who bad lieen previously remanded were sentenced to-day. Eliza Margaret Hilda Codings, 43, who had been previously convicted, and James St. Clair Williamson, 30, a salesman. were sentenced to three months imprisonment. George Unity, 32. a steel worker, who had never been in trouble before, was fined 115.
