An invitation has been extended by the Hawke’s Ray Cricket Association to the Poverty Bay association, whose representatives are to travel to Now Plymouth or Palmerston North at the New Year in quest of the Hawke Cup, to play at match with Hawke’s Bay, at Napier, either on the way south or on the return journey home. A. hag of mail for 'the Duke of ■Gloucester and his party, which arrived at Auckland by the Rangitnta, was sent to Mangcre aerodrome and was then taken by aeroplane to Napier. The machine, which was piloted toy Squadron-Leader L. M. Isitt, loft the aerodrome at 3.10 ,p.m. and arrived at Napier at 5 p.in.
