A remit advocating a system of standardised parking places for motor-vehicles was received at the meeting of the South Island Motor Union executive at Christchurch. The suggestion, from the Southland association, embodied the use of a color design for streets, different colors to be used on kerbings to distinguish the parking times allowed in different streets. The executive committee decided, in the meantime, to seek the opinion of the Commissioner for Transport, Mr, J. S. Hunter.
