ITALIAN PROVOCATION ’■ PROTESTS TO LEAGUE GENEVA, Dec. 210. The Abyssinian Government’s reply to the Italian note regarding the Ualual incident declares that the documents of the International Commission contradict the.ltalian telegram. Not only the Abyssinian, but also- tho Anglo-Abyssinian commanders jointly protested t. gainst the provocative Italian attitude and demonstrations on Abyssinian territory. An Italian aeroplane flew over and threatened the commission while the latter was protesting. The Italians signalled an attack, after a reeonnaisance overnight, by whistle orders, on which two aeroplanes, dropping bombs, and a third and a tank firing machine guns, arrived on tho scene, while tho .Abyssinian machine guns wero still covered and not in battle position, and tho officers and soldiers, except tho sentries, were within the tents. Tho second in command of the Abyssinian escort was wounded.
