LIVE STOCK EMBARGO
REMOVAL SUPPORTED , DAIRY FARMERS’, UNION (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. The executive of the Dairy Farmers’ Union yesterday changed its opinion on the question, of the embargo on the importation of 3tock and tho fear of foot and mouth disease, a motion being carried signifying willingness to see the embargo lifted provided strict quarantine regulations were adopted. The changed opinion was the result, ol an address by Dr. E. C. Barnett on scientific aspects of the disease, and his declaration that it was impossible for the disease .to reach the Dominion per medium of stock, with the quarantine regulations existing both in England and the Dominion.
