TOLAGA BAY WEDDING

GELLERT—BARTRAM (Herald Correspoiidont.) On Wednesday afternoon at the residence of Air. and Airs. 0. E. Bertram, “liowhai Tops,” Tolaga Bay, a wedding of considerable interest took place, whefi their third daughter, Kathleen Jean Barbara, was united in the bonds of matrimony with Alister Seymour, third son of Mr. and Airs. Gellert, Opotiki. The ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. J. I). G. Hodgson, was held in the garden, where a bower of nikau ferns mingled with clusters of roses and blue hydrangea provided a dainty setting for the bridal party. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of rose pink angel-skin made in long Mowing lines and a straw hat in a harmonising shade of pink. Shoes, hosiery and gloves to tone were worn, and she carried •an exquisite bouquet of pink carnations and gladioli mingled with fronds of asparagus fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Helen Bartram, sister of the bride, who was charmingly frocked in a becoming ensemble of blue windswept satin, and who wore a Leghorn hat of the same shade of blue. She carried a dainty bouquet of pastel shaded hydrangea. The best man was Air, Alan Warburton.

Airs. Bar tram received the guests wearing a smart ensemble of black and white, with a black model hat. Mrs, Gellert, mother of th,e bridegroom, chose black satin with-an over-dress of black and white, and with a black and white hat. Mrs. A. Cranswick wore floi'M crepe-de-chine and a blue hat; Airs. Colson, brown lizard crepe and a brown hat; Aliss J. Bartram, floral pique voile in shades of gold, and a hat to tone; Airs. A. Bartram, navy blue ensemble, with blue hat.

Airs R. Bartram chose blue crepe-de-chine, with a blue hat in self tonings; Airs Keith Bartram, floral crepe with organdie trimmings, and hat to match; Miss H. Caldwell, navy blue frock and floral hat; Airs 11. Caldwell, nkvy and white ensemble.

Mr Irvine Moore played the “Wedding March.’ ’ The garden, where the wedding breakfast was served from tables beautifully decorated with vases of pink and blue carnations and hydrangeas, was looking a picture. , The happy couple later left on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a becoming costume of rose linen tweed, with pink hat to tone, and white gloves and shoos.
