PIGEON FLYING Tlio Poverty Bay Homing Pigeon Club flew its' long distance race from Lyttelton, 42-5 miles, this week. Seventeen birds participated. The birds were liberated, at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, and the livst bird to clock in was timed at 8 a.in. on Wednesday. Approximately 697 yards per lninutte was covered. * The results wereW.
