INCREASED RETURNS
U.S. FARM PRODUCTS REDUCTION OF CROPS WASHINGTON, Dec. 18. , Although the nation’s crop production in 1934 was the lowest for many years, as the result of the drought and the Government’s curtailment programme) the value was the largest for several years, according to a Department of Agriculture report published to-day. The current harvest is approximately valued at 4.782,000.000 dollars with 4,114,000,000 dollars in 1933, and 000,000 dollars in 1932. For example, tho maize crop was 1,380,000,000 bushels, compared with 2,906,000,000 bushels in 1932, but it brought producers 1,085,000,000 dollars, compared with 558,000,000 dollars inj the former year. Tho wheat crop was 496,000,000 bushels, 250,000,000 bushels below 1932, but it was worth almost 200,000,000 dollars more.
