AMERICANS AT AUCKLAND LAFFOON BREAKS RECORD (Per Press Association., AUCKLAND, this day. The team of American professional golfers who have been taking part in matches in Australia returned to Auckland by the Monterey. Five'of them played a medal round on Titirangi links. Tho course record of 71 was beaten by Ky Laffoon, who went round in 69. He was out in 35 end home in .34, including three putts at each of the fifteenth and sixteenth holes. In a few instances he was conceded lus final putt when his ball was within a foot or so of the hole, and lor this reason the record may not be recognised. The scores of the others were: Craigwood 71 (approximately), Jimmy Thomson 72, Densmore Shute 74, and Paul Runyan 75.
