SYDNEY WOOL SALES * STRONG JAPANESE DEMAND ’:fe SYDNEY, Dec. 18. At the wool sales, 11,642 bales were offered, of which 10,285 were sold; 882 bales were disposed of privately. There was good general competition, with a particularly strong demand from Japan. Prices were firm. Greasy merino made 18d. Last week’s average price was £l2 5s 3d a Dale, or 9.6 d per lb.
