(Herald Correspondent.) The annual prize-giving and “breaking up” party of the Motuhora School was held on Saturday night in the hall, when a very happy time was. spent by young and old. The school roll is now only 18, arid in view of this fact the master, Mr. A. Webb, and commissioner, Mr. Iv. Bain, decided that every child should receive a prize. Musical games, novelty dances, and competitions were enjoyed by the children, while the adults played euchre until 10 p.m. A special feature of the entertainment was the music supplied by Mrs. Burburgh, piano, Mr. Brown, violin, and Mr. Stewart, saxophone and whistle. These musicians travelled from Rakuuroa and delighted everyone with their excellent contribution towards the evening’s enjoyment. A novelty dance for the children was won by Miss Jean Rowe and Mick Anderson, and a competition, names of motor cars, was won by Mona Derecourt and M. Anderson. Mrs. McCaffery and Mr. C. Richardson won the euchre tournament, and Mrs. Bcgg and Mr. Maka also received prizes.
