FASCIST CONFERENCE
NO BRITISH DELEGATE PRAISE FOR MUSSOLINI LONDON, Dec. 17. A message from Moutrcux states that Fascist delegates planned to meet at nn hotel here, instead of at Geneva, for the sake of secrecy, but found the hotel besieged by journalists. Sir Oswald Mosley’s party was not represented. General O’Duffy -said: “The most wo can do is to recognise the general principles of fascism. England has so long dominated our country that it should under,viand that peace can be established only on the basis of reciprocal goodwill.” Then came the clash between the Nordic and Roman brands of fascism. Delegates from France, Austria, Greece, Belgium and Portugal praised Signor Mussolini and Borne as tho spiritual centre of fascism. A Norwegian, AT. Vidkin, protested that the northern countries did not accept the idea of the universality of Borne. “We are planning a union of all the northern countries, Scandinavia, the British Empire, Germany and the Netherlands,” he said.
A resolution was carried paying a tribute to Signor Mussolini as founder of fascism which alone it was stated is able to maintain peace.
