Grans-, wick, 3. Youngest competitor, prize presented by Air. Cooper.—Teddy Dover. Best records of lambs and calves.—D. Jones, 1; Brenda Cranswick, 2; J. Irving, 3. Mr. 0. G. Calvert, secondary master of the Tolaga Bay District High School, lias received advice that he has been, successful in the University of New Zealand examinations for the diploma of education in history of education and principles of teaching. The following have received their free places at the local High School: Brenda Cranswick, Noelien flames, Margaret Thatcher, Thomas Cranswick, Ivan Craill, Jack Prince, and Robert Donald. Out of the seven candidates presented, ell were granted senior free places by the inspector at his last visit to the school, and have been confirmed by the board. At the recent Catholic bazaar the largo doll was won by Mr. Morgan O’Connell.
