On Saturday evening, after a successful matinee performance, Mr Stanley McKay's "Gaieties of 1934" Company brought its Gisborno season to a close at the Opera House, and the company departed by motor bus this morning. The programme on Saturday night again was nn excellent one, and was most enthusiastically received. Before the curtain fell, the company assembled on the stage, and Mr Fred Argyle expressed the thanks of the management for the support the company had received in Cisborne, and intimated that it was hoped to pay another visit to Gisborne at au early date. Led by Mr Argyle, the company and the audience then sang ,"A.uld Lang Syne."
