To-day's North Island Report. 'Between Taufanga and Gisborne overcast skies prevailed to-day, but elsewhere 'blue skies were reported. Light easterly breezes prevailed from oisborne southwards, 'but.north of Gisborne the''breeze had a southerly tendency. Smooth to moderate seas were reported. Temperature, readingsat 9 d.m. were:-—Auckland and Opo'tiki, 74; Tauraiiga, 73; Wellington, 71; Oisborae, 60; Napier 08. Last Night's Forecast A very slight depression yesterday crossed the Dominion, which in nowcovered by a moderate anticyclone. Winds light to moderate and variable, with iiorth-east to north predominating. Seas, New Zealand waters, smooth to moderate. In the eastern Tasmau Sea moderate north-cast to northerly winds and smooth to moderate seas. Weather for the most part still fine and warmer, but a few isolated showers possible. DEPARTURES General inference. —A moderate anticyclone covers New Zealand. Pressure is falling over eastern Australia. Forecast.—Light variable winds, with easterlies Weather fine, warm and sultry. Seas smooth to moderate.
