GISBORNE CLUB DRAW SCULLING AND FOUR-OAR The draw has been announced in the Gisborne Rowing Club’s Executive Fours and Gordon Doubles together with the handicaps in the latter. The final in the fours event will be rowed on Friday, and strokes are to contest their races as set out bv the committee.
The Executive Font’s, to be. decided over the mile course, has been drawn as follows Monday.-—First round: B. LcComptc v. A. (1. LonteH. Second round : S. Brown v. M. Burridge. Tuesday.—o. .7, d enno v, LeCompte or Lentell ;H. Hankey v. S. Bruce; R. Scaly v. J. Gemmell.
The Gordon Doubles series, a. handicap event, to he rowed over three-quarters of a mile, has been, drawn and handicapped ns follows :
Saturday.—R. Anderson, 12see v. R Garrett-, 6sec; C. Shaw, 2sec, v. K. Bell, lOsec; R. DeCosta, 6scc, v. G. C. Jones, 4sec. : J. Malcolmson, 6scc, v. J. Craw-ford-Smith, Bsec, Monday.—K. -Oarer, Gsee. v. P. Weir, scr.; R. Nieoll. 6sec, v. D. F. Muir, lOsec; T. MeGallum, 2sec, v. P. Foster, lOsec; G. McConnell, sc,r., v. D. Robertson, Ssee. The next event, on .the Gisborne Rowing Club’s programme, will be a pair-oar series, to be rowed during the first iveek in January. This series will he on. a handicap basis, and each pair will comprise an experienced oarsman and a novice, this composition of the entries being conducive to an improvement, in the watermanship of new members. Entries will close rn December 19.
