HITLER IN COLLISION
TRAIN STRIKES BUS 13 PEOPLE KILLED (Received Dec. 35, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, Dec. 14. Thirteen persons were killed and seven injured when an express train conveying Herr Hitler to Berlin after the launching of the Scharnhorst collided with ,a motor bus which crashed through the gates of the Kirchlintelm level crossing during a dense fog. The motor bus, which contained members of a theatrical company, was hurled into the air and completely wrecked, the occupants being thrown in all directions. The driver brought the train to a standstill. A doctor aboard directed first aid pending the arrival of ambulances. Herr Hitler personally headed the train passengers in the rescue work.
The Times’ Berlin correspondent says that, the North iGermnn-Lloyd steamer Scharnhorst, of 18,000 tons, Germany’s largest since the Europa and 'Bremen, was launched at Deseliimag dockyard, Bremen, in the presence of Herr Hitler, at a great patriotic ceremony. She commemorates the SclianfUorst sunk in the Falkland Islands battle. The Gneisenau, similarly lost, will be commemorated bv a vessel now being built.
