BOWLS
TOLAGA BAY CLUB INTER-CLUB MATCH (Herald Correspondent.) The Tolaga Bay Bowling Club lias decided to participate in the series of intev-club matches being played under the auspices of the Gisborne and East Coast Bowling Centre. The first match will be played during the week-end against Te Karaka at the township. The following will represent Tolaga Bay:— Harries, Ross, Taylor, and C. E. Smith (s); Morrison, Mace, Farrell, and Hurlstone (s). The players intend to arrive at Te Karaka at about 10 a.rn. and spend the rest of the morning in friendly matches.
In responding on behalf of his wife and himself, Mr Olsen said that they much regretted the necessity to leave the Kaiti School, hut the position had been forced upon him. There were a fine lot of children at the Kaiti School, and he had got on well with the committee and the staff. Though they were leaving Kaiti, lie was glad to say that they would still remain in Gisborne. “For 'They are .Tolly Good Fellows” was sung, and a very pleasant gathering concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
