CHARGES STABILISED
AUCKLAND HAIRDRESSERS (Per Press Association,J AUCKLAND, this day. The serious position facing trade as a result of consistent price-cutting has led to members of the Auckland District Hairdressers and Tobacconists’ Association agreeing to a plan which, it is thought, will be effective in stabilising charges. The new scale, which is as follows, will operate as from Monday next Minimum rates, city area, haircutting Is 3d, shaving 9d; outer area, haircutting Is, shaving 6d. It was announced that it was the intention of the association to take steps to restore the 5 per cent, of wages reduction to employees who had been working for inadequate amounts.
