Sternberg and Dietrich
JOSEF von Sternberg, tin) movie , director, announced in Hollywood that his forthcoming picture with Marlene Dietrich would mark the end of their professional association —a team which has produced some of Hollywood's most colorful stories off screen and on. The director said he and the star arc agreed that the professional separation is for the best interests of both their careers, and they will part “in order to give Miss Dietrich the bene? fit of varied types of direction.” Von Sternberg said he expects to continue making films with other stars as he did hefore he discovered Miss Dietrich on the Berlin stage.
