WHARF AT CAPETOWN
CAPETOWN, Dee. 4. The construction of a wharf .1000 ft. long, at a cost of £500,000, will be started in the new year. The new mail steamers of 25,000 tons aro too long for the existing berths. The construction will involve the removal of a large quantity of'.submarine rock. It is also contemplated to erect the largest pre-cooling chambers in the world.
