J.n the House of Lords, Lord Hailsliarn, replying to Lord Reading, said there would be a special sitting on Friday to give the Lord Chancellor u chance to reply to Lord Hewart’s allegations. Without a special sitting, the, subject couid not lie taken until after the Christmas recess, and it was undesirable that yesterday’s statements should remain so long undealt with on behalf of the Government. »v, ,-t .
