KALGOORLIE MINERS EFFECT ON COMPANIES KALGOORLIE, Dec. 12. A new award is imminent for miners, who are receiving an increase of 8s a week, which will add about £I6OO to the weekly wages bill of the Golden Mile mine, where 4000 are employed, and about £BOO a week to the Lake View and Star Company, .reducing the monthly profit from £SOOO to £3200. The surface workers’ hours are being reduced from 4£ to 44, which will add £650 to the cost of production. Mr. W. S.
