POSSESSION OF TRUCK
AN APPEAL SUCCEEDS , (Pqr Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. 'Having obtained a motor truck by vyay .of exchange' 'without, knowing there was ia bfll of sale over it, Sidney Bassin was subjected to the ruse of using a false’ name. The owner of. the bill of sale pretended to negotiate for a sale and induced Bassin to expend about £3B 6s 8d for repairs. Possession of the truck was obtained by the further ruse of asking for a trial run. ■Bassin subsequently took legal proceedings, but Mr W. E. Stihvell, S.M., decided against him. Bassin appealed, apd toj-day this appeal was decided in his favor, by Mr Justice Ostler, whose opinion was that, judgment should be entered .for Bassin for £3B 6s Bd. Co'sts were' allowed Bassin in both courts.
