SOUTH ISLAND OMITTED (Per Pross Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Tho complaint that the claims of the South Island are not fully recognised was again voiced at a Chamber of Commerce meeting. In particular, regret was expressed that two overseas shipping companies, tho P. and O. and Orient, had overlooked the South Island when drawing up the tours of two vessels to visit the Dominion shortly. The opinion was expressed that an Injustice had been done to thri part of the Dominion, and it was decided" to write to the companies concerned inviting them, when arranging future tours, to include Dunedin and other South Island ports.
