TWO PEOPLE INJURED

MISHAP TO MOTOR-CYCLE (Per Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, last night. Miss Bessie Badsby and Mr Edward John Tressider, both of Masterton, were proceeding to-day on a motorcycle from Taumarunui to visit relatives at Nihoniho, but when descending a 3teep incline about a mile from Taumarunui, the forks of the front wheel broke. Miss Badsby was thrown over the front of the motor-cycle, striking her head, the blow being minimised by the helmet she was wearing. Mr Tressider was also thrown. Both were rendered unconscious. Mr Trcsside'r soon regained consciousness when picked up by motorists following them. Both were admitted to hospital. Miss Badsby is still unconscious and Mr Tressider is suffering from shock and abrasions.
