GAY BLONDE’S GUINEAS MASTER NORVAL WINS PLUMPTON (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Showery weather, prevailed for the final day of the Avondale Jockey Club’s spring meeting at Avondale to-day. The attendance was small. The track was in good order, being little affected by the rain. The totalisator investments totalled £11,444 compared with £17,591 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £31,546. compared with £39,994 in 1933. Grey Lynn Hurdles. —1 Thespis (Burgess), 1; 2 King Win (Mcßae), 2; 3 Glenade (Sullivan), 3. Also ran: 4 Silver Division. Won by three-quarters o£ a . length, and eight lengths. Time, 3.11 1-5.
Nursery Handicap.—2-2 Gay Sheik (Tinker), 1; 3-3 Tribune (Horne), 2; 3-3 Velocipede (Tremain), 3. Tribune and Velocipede were bracketed. Also ran : 1- Fairfax, 4-4 Singara, 5-5 Bay Acre. Won by a neck, and half a length. Fairfax was left at the post, and look no part in the race. Time, 1.1 4-a. Mount Albert Handicap.—l-1 Silver Jubilee (Green), 1; 3-3 Prince Acre (Winder), 2; 6-7 Miss Lu (Wiggins), 3. Also ran: 4-5 Princess Star, 5-6 Solomon, 2- Ballymoney, 7 : 4 Lady Diana, 9-8 Chief Emerald, 8-9 Cornerman, 10-10 Express. Won by a head, and a length. Time, 1.14. Plumpton Handicap.—4-1 Master Norval (Horne), 1; 1-4 Royal Artist (Pine), 2: 9-9 Musquil (Cameron), 3. Also ran : 3- Carfex, 2-3- Aga- Khan, 8-8 Baroscope, 6-6 King’s Archer, 5-5 Lord Vul, 7-7 Killadar. Won by three-quarters of a le.ngth, and a neck, King’s Archer look the lead early from Royal Artist, biit Musquil c;;d Baroscope went to Ihe front, along the back. They led into the straight from Royal Artist and Aga, Khan. Master Norval came through with a line finishing run over the last, furlong to defpat Royal Artist, Musquil and Killadar. Musquil, the outsider of llio field, made a good showing and finished solidly after making most of the running with Baroscope. Time, 2.7.
Avondale Guineas.—l Gay Blonde (Tinker), 1; 2 Rercpai (McKenzie), 2; 3 Namakia (Keesing), 3. The only starters. Won by two lengths, and half a. length. Namakia went to the front at the start, but was soon passed by Rercpai and Gay Blonde. Rercpai maintained the lead until entering the straight, when Gay Blonde went to the front, and drew away to win comfort nblv. Time. 1.41.
President’s Handicap.—2-2 Sinking Fund (McTavisli), 1 : 4-3 British Columbia: (Goldfinch), 2; 3-4 Lady Kyra (Pine), 3. Also ran: 1-] Bercatu, 5-5 Tradesman. Won by a length, and a neck. Time, 1.14.
New Lynn. Handicap.—l-3.—1-3 Kelly (Me lavish). 1; 3-1 King Briefly (Wiggins), 2; 2-2 Nun Nicer (Pine), 3. Also ran: 6-6 First Rap. 4-4 Bonny. Gay, 10-11 Safari, 9-9 Ruling King, 8-7 On Approval, 5-5 Aubretia, 11-10 Gold Musk, 7-8 King Tut. Won by a. length, and a short head. Time, 1.42.

AUCKLAND, last night
After hearing evidence regarding a mishap in the Henderson Handicap at the Avondale meeting on the lirst day when Chief. Cook broke his leg and had to be destroyed, the judicial committee decided to-day that the cause was Chief Cook being crossed by Hushing, ridden by L. Clifford. Clifford was suspended for one month.
