PLANS COMPLETED FLOATING AERODROME PARIS, Nov. 4. M. Louis Blcriot told the Daily Mail’s correspondent that a twice daily trans-Atlantic air service, bringing London and Haris within 18 hours of New York, is being inaugurated within a year. M. Bleriot produced plans of floating aerodromes, which it is proposed to anchor in a chain across the ocean, each consisting of a landing platform 500yds long, under which, will be a hotel, restaurant, and accommodation for garaging and refuelling planes, and spare parts. Submarine propellers will enable the floating aerodrome to be kept facing the wind, facilitating t he landing. M. Bleriot says that tho United States War Department is backing.tko scheme and wishes to commence with a trans-Pacific air mail passenger service, after which it will operate aa Atlantic one. He estimated that tho trans-Atlantic services will carry 80 passengers daily. For the first year the faro will be £BO, of which £l3 will be paid to tho Seadrome Ocean Dock Corporation which is supplying and maintaining the floating aerodromes. Britain and France arc reported to be willing to co-opcrate in placing aerodromes in the Atlantic, and Canada and Japan are being approached to support the Pacific project. . M. Bleriot was the first man to fly the English Channel, making the crossing in 1909.
