CHRISTCHURCH, this day
A raid on premises occupied by John I'cmberthy Basht'ord, in Leslie’s road, Hornby, was carried out by police officers and a Customs officer yesterday. The official raiding party found there a still and a quantity of whisky, which were taken away by the police, ltashford will appear in court to-day, charged with having an illicit still.

INVERCARGILL,’ this day
A large still, in full working order and with nearly 200 gallons of wash and a quantity of complete spirit, was seized iu the Awurua district yesterday afternoon by the Collector of Customs and a party of police. It is understood that further developments are pcilding.
