“ He is one of tin l lucky ones,” said the magistrate, Mr E. I). Mosley, when a tirst offender, aged 72 years, appeared oil a charge of drunkenness.
The police said that the accused, who was a southern visitor, when arrested outside Kiccnrton racecourse late yesterday afternoon had £IOO in notes in his pockets. This was just after the races had finished. He was being pestered by bystanders.
' A fine of 20s and costs was iln posed.
