The total amount raised throughout New Xenia ml by the Salvation Army self-denial appeal was ££1,051, "which is a little in advance of last year’s total. The chief secretary, Colonel Orsborn, in making a statement to this effect last night, warmly thanked Salvationists and friends for'the work they had done, and the gifts they had made, which would enable the army to carry on its campaign.
