FLYING FROM ENGLAND

CANBERRA, Oct. 20. A. fuel and aviation expert, Lord Sempill, will fly from England to Australia to discuss with representatives of the Commonwealth and New South Wales Governments llie questions relating to the development of the Ncwnes .shale oil fields. The date of his arrival is not known, but. it is expected lie will be here in time to discuss the project before the Government pushes ahead with its plan of development. Lord Sempill has had a distinguished career ffis an organiser. He is the representative of the British Air Ministry oa the committee for aeronautics, and a. member pf the British Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. At tho request of the Japanese Gov-, eminent he undertook the equipment and organisation of the Japanese naval air services in 1921. He visited Athens in 192(i at the invitation of the Greek Government to report on the organisation of tho naval air services of that country.
