HUMPHREYS GULLY RACE
STATE BUYS RIGHTS (Per Press Association.) HOKITIKA, this day. Advice has been received that the Government has completed the purchase of the Humphreys Gully Race rights. The work of repairing and extending the race will be commenced immediately, and a large number of men employed. The race commands a large' auriferous area, and a promising mining field will he opened up. There is much local jubilation at the completion of the purchase.
