PROTECTION OF SAAR
* THE FRENCH ATTITUDE PARIS, Nov. 2. Semi-official quarters state that France will not send troops to the Saar except on a clear and formal demand oi the Council of the League and woidd also request other nations to co-operate. It is stated that the present purely technical preparations are the result oi a report by Mr. C, O. Knox to the effect that there is a possibility of a Nazi coup, and this cannot bo overlooked.
