Canijri Hammy, otherwise George Birmingham, the author, preaching at Kensington Gore, eoinpared the translation of thb Bible with tile dedication to King James, which was written by the very sariie inbn, itnd said it contains every possible fault ill English prose, except tlie split infinitive. “1 call only suppose that while translating they possessed some power which might be called an inspiration.”
