VISIT TO GISBORNE CONFIRMATION SERVICES The Rt. Rev. Dr. D. M. Liston, Bishop of Auckland, is visiting the Gisborne district, and has arranged to leave to morrow on his return north. Last night, His Lordship conducted a confirmation service at St, Mary’s Church, Gisborne, in the presence of a large congregation. About 50 candidates were presented, including 10 adults. Another confirmation service was held at Ormond in the afternoon, a large congregation being present. Bishop Liston arrived in Gisoorne on Wednesday night, and on Thursday proceeded up the Coast, holding services at Toiaga Bay and Tokomaru Bay on Thursday and Friday, respectively. returned to Gisborne on Friday night.
