Captain K. L. Stewart, who has boon attached to the Ceylon Staff Corps, has arrived at Auckland with. Mrs Stewart and their child. Ca'ptain Stewart has been appointed to the New Zealand Staff Cotps.
The Bay of Plenty Presbytery iia.decided to nominate the Rev. T. H. Koseveare, of Papatoctoe. ns the. next moderator of the general assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand.
Mr J. A. Cahill, at present secretary to branches at the principal (flier in Melbourne of the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, Limited, has been appointed to succeed Mr A. 11. Johns ns manager of the society for New Zealand.
Mr. Herbert Douglas Martin, of the sub-editorial staff of the Argus, Melbourne, was rhari'icd in August to Miss Catherine Agnes Baggotf, a member of a Melbourne family. His colleagues made him a. presentation of a crystal decanter and a set of goblets. Mr. Martin was formerly on the staffs of both the Gisborne limes and the Poverty- Rav Herald.
