There was a good attendance of players on the Gisborne Bowling Club's green, on Saturday afternoon and with the green in its usual excellent, condition there were keen contests. Play resulted as under: — —Ordinary Games— Birkett. Zaffer, Corson, and Robertson R) 20 v. Percy, Breingezu, Balfour and Coleman (s) 27. .Topes, Waite, Wade and Henderson (s) 35 v. Pyke, Bull, Crawford and Allan (s) 31 ■ York, Mntu'o, McGregor (s) 31 v. Farnie, Zaeltariah and Sutton (s) 12. Salmon, McGregor, Taylor and Smith («) 20 v. Galvin, Shaw, Dodd and J. jjay (s) 26. Neal, Thornton and Hammond (s) 23 v. Bartrom, Wilson, and Popple (s) 10. During the afternoon the following new active members were elected : Messrs. E. IJringezu, H. C. D. Wade, R. R. Baldrey and F. Green.
