AMERICAN KIDNAPPING
SEARCH FOR WOMAN MISSING FOR FIVE DAYS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received October 15, 2 p.m.) LOU SI VI LEE, Kentucky, Oct, 14. Several hundred federal agents, sheriffs, deputies, and volunteers who are searching for the kidnapped Mrs. £.toll, to-night hurried to a wild wooded area south-east of h.ere, after a dairyman reported seeing an automobile in which a woman with her hands tied and mouth covered with adhesive tape, struggled to escape. The. dairyman reported that the automobile struck his wagon, after which the driver, a man with a, shotgun, threatened to shoot him, and then sped away. Nearly five days have elapsed since the wealthy matron was abducted. Members of the family, fearing that the kidnappers may hav 1 killed her, asked the police to search the. marshlands in the vicinity. _____
