SHUNTING MISHAP
PORTER IN HOSPITAL (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A crushed chest and ribs were sustained by a railway porter, Richard Steele, at Takapau, yesterday afternoon. During shunting), the buffers of two wagons overlapped and Steele stepped in to remedy the defect, being squeezed between two wagons. He is progressing satisfactorily in hosoital at Waipukurau.
