OBITUARY

MR. J. S. NELSON (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, last night, The death occurred to-day after a serious illness of Mr John Smith Nelson, headmaster of the Waihopai School, aged 44. He served with the Canterbury Mounted Rifles at the landing of Gallipoli. Mr. Nelson was a member cf the Southland Acclimatisation Society, and a past master of the Tarangatura Lodge and Lodge St. John. He was also a member of the Southern Club.

A. Blenheim (resident oif 43 years' standing, Mr. George Frederick Saunders, has passed away, aged 78.

Mr. Charles William Ensor, a member of a well-known North Canterbury family, died this week at “Erewhon,” Taihape, at the ago of 59 years.
