DEADLOCK ENDED
MR. BENNETT & PROVINCES (Received August 4, 2.30* p.m.) OTTAWA, August 3. The deadlock between the Provinces and the Prime Minister, Mr. R. B. Bennett, over unemployment relief was broken when the Premier withdrew his demand that the Provinces assume all responsibility in return for grants.
