Prince’s Gardening Zeal

THE Prince of Wales must be ae- * counted the most enthusiastic gardener in the Royal Family. Relatives and intimate friends are impressed by his interest in everything to do with plants and flowers. Recently the Prince has been using •ill his' scanty leisure to visit friend's with gardens, so that he may exchange notes, pick up new ideas, and see how his borders at Fort Belvedere compare with other people’s. One of his most recent outings of this kind was to Lord and Lady Abere on way’s country place in North Wales-—Bodnant —where there is a wonderful show of flowering shrubs, collected largely by Lord Abcrconwav’s mother and himself.
